ANIMAL VEGETABLE MINERAL: NINE DAYS, NINE INSTALLATIONS

MIXED MEDIA PAINTINGS AND DRAWINGS, DIGITAL PRINTS, DISPLAY FURNITURE

266 WINDOW SPACE FOR CHASHAMA, NEW YORK, NEW YORK 2011

Produced for a Garment District window, an installation was produced for each of thirteen days: imagining the exhibition as a stream of time, each day’s drawing installation segued into the next through color, spatial concerns, the use of display furniture, and the repetition of drawing elements.

The works on paper mix with objects in our world: a sense of interconnectedness, time, motion, transformation, or transmutation (acknowledging all organic matter) — and a sense of humility and deep responsibility regarding our place in the world, our environment, our biosphere, and with one other.
